Imagine, you are in a dark cavern, surrounded by evil priests. Bam! Your friend falls dead, skull split open, brains on your face. Another, felled by a rabid strike of an axe, on his knees, cradling his arm as if it were a baby. You are alone, in the dark, surrounded by enemies and the corpses of your once comrades in arms. Hate and anger fills you, you lash out at the enemy, only to be swiftly put to rest by a blade through your back.

Game Over.

How many sessions of Mörk Borg have ended this way? For us, way too many. While we respect and understand the concept of why it is so, we also wanted to play a long campaign where we did not have to make new characters each time the party died. Because by doing that we would have to restart the roleplay, the connections, the inside jokes-everything. So it quickly dawned on me and a friend of mine that why should this scum get off the hook so easily and avoid the Apocalypse brought forth by the blessed Hydra? LET THEM LIVE AND SUFFER!

Inside you will find rules for extending the lives of your party, to let them meet the doom head on, and not be extinguished prematurely.

Do as you will with these rules, adjust them to your game and taste. I just hope that maybe you are a likeminded individual and will find value within.

We do reference another creation inside for the D20 curses, you can find their work here - https://wayward-polyhedral.itch.io/death-is-not-an-escape
